DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


South Platte Public Schools is a school district located in western Nebraska that was consolidated in 1995. It consists of the communities of Brule and Big Springs, Nebraska. K-12 classes are conducted at the Big Springs site. South Platte Schools receives little state aid. The majority of the school's funding is provided from property tax which is capped by a state legislatively mandated lid. This district is a rural community with agriculture and tourism being the main employers.
