DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Ponca High School includes accreditation of Nebraska Frameworks 7-8 and AdvancED 9-12. Ponca High School offers outstanding educational opportunities, personalized learning, and many extra-curricular activities for each student. Grades 7-12 students are located in the Ponca building. Competent and caring teachers provide students the opportunity to learn both content and appropriate behavior in a safe and structured environment. Curricular offerings include basic skills instruction for all students as well as specialized courses. Technology, career and character education are embedded in the curriculum. The majority of Ponca graduates continue their education at two or four year colleges. Extra-curricular activities begin in grade seven and include instrumental and vocal music, a wide variety of athletics, drama, speech, FBLA and student government.
