DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


The Ponca Elementary School is a Nebraska Frameworks accredited grades 3-6 public school located in northeast Nebraska. With an enrollment of 128 students, Ponca Elementary School is large enough to offer outstanding educational opportunities, and small enough to personalize education for each student. Grades 3-6 students are located in the Ponca building. Competent and caring teachers provide students the opportunity to learn both content and appropriate behavior in a safe and structured environment. Curricular offerings include basic skills instruction for all students and specialized courses at the elementary level in vocal and instrumental music, physical education, library/media, guidance and keyboarding. Elementary students also receive support and enrichment through Special Education, Title 1, and Guidance services. Technology, career and character education are embedded in the curriculum.
