DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

The Jackson School is a Nebraska Frameworks accredited grades PK-2 public school located in northeast Nebraska. With an enrollment of 114 students, Jackson Elementary School is large enough to offer outstanding educational opportunities, and small enough to personalize education for each student. Grades PK-2 students are located in the Jackson building in Jackson, NE. Competent and caring teachers provide students the opportunity to learn both content and appropriate behavior in a safe and structured environment. Curricular offerings include basic skills instruction for all students and specialized courses at the elementary level in vocal and instrumental music, physical education, library/media, guidance and keyboarding. Elementary students also receive support and enrichment through Special Education, Title 1, and Guidance services. Technology, career and character education are embedded in the curriculum.
