DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Fremont Middle School, 540 Johnson Road, incorporates teaming at grades seven and eight, common planning time by team, and opportunities for cross-curricular implementation. Approximately six teams averaging just over one-hundred students per team and three-hundred per grade comprise the student body. Within the middle school model, students are offered time to explore areas such as physical education, coding, business/computer apps, family consumer science, art, industrial technology and fine arts in a modified block schedule. Two-thirds of the student’s day is spent in math, science, social studies, and English. Fremont Middle School engages in a Multi Tiered Systems of Support in academics and behaviors, and Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBiS) to help students achieve social, emotional, and academic success. LaVonna Emanuel is the current middle school principal.
