DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Omaha North High Magnet School is leading the way in STEM education. Omaha North envisions technology to be available and effectively supported for all students and staff as a learning tool in our instructional repertoire. We provide each student with a device to maximize their learning potential so they feel supported, empowered, and engaged in a technologically advanced society. An exclusive program offering in OPS, North students can participate in a four-year sequence of Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses in BioMedical Science, Computer Science and Engineering. This sequence combined with college preparatory math and science courses in high school, introduces students to the scope, rigor and discipline of STEM fields prior to entering college. Omaha North offers a comprehensive math curriculum with more college level courses than any other high school in the metro area. With over 40 clubs and organizations available to all students, every Viking can find a place where they belong.
