Nathan Hale Magnet Middle School for Leadership and Social Justice serves 6th, 7th, and 8th grade leaders in an environment which promotes critical thinking, creative problem solving, service learning and effective leadership skills. Nathan Hale’s motto is “Where LEARNERS today make LEADERS tomorrow”. The Expanded Learning Time (ELT) offers students an opportunity to receive additional support and enrichment experiences in academic areas. Students are able to select 8 enrichment classes per year, making Nathan Hale the only middle school of its kind in the Midwest! The staff offers students opportunities to increase their proficiency in core areas. A concept-based approach to teaching is used to increase students’ abilities to communicate and connect concepts. The enthusiasm of staff, students and families, coupled with unique partnerships help to make Nathan Hale Magnet Middle School a rich educational experience, which capitalizes on students’ strengths and talents as leaders.
