DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Adams Elementary is located at 3420 North 78 Street in Omaha. Built in 1925 and remodeled in 1988, the school is named after Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams. The diverse population includes kindergarten through sixth grade. Programs in English as a Second Language, Special Education Resource, Alternate Curriculum, Speech and Gifted Education are offered. Adams Elementary has a history of strong community involvement and staff who promote excellence in education. An active PTA provides extensive volunteer and financial assistance for academic and extracurricular opportunities. The mascot of Adams is the Archer, which is reflected in the school’s mission statement: “Adams – A Safe Place Where all Students Aim to Achieve”. Adams Groove show choir, robotics, enrichment clubs, sports, Art and Music Festival, Science Fair, Memories with Mom and Donuts with Dad breakfasts, and Grandparents Lunch are just some of the opportunities that students at Adams enjoy.
