DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Catlin Arts Magnet is located at 12736 Marinda Street in Omaha. This school serves students through sixth grade. The visual and performing arts are an integral part of the core curriculum for children in second through sixth grade. Choral music, piano keyboarding, violin, drama, theater field trips, and an array of visual arts including painting, graphic arts and sculpture give students many opportunities to develop an appreciation for the arts. Partnerships with various community arts groups provide human and material resources for the magnet center. Visiting artists and guest performers share their expertise and enrichment opportunities with students. At Catlin Arts Magnet, students obtain an enriched education through exposure to the arts in a diverse environment that allows them to develop social and academic skills that last a lifetime.
