DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Dodge Elementary School is located at 3520 Maplewood Boulevard. The current Laura Dodge School was opened in September 1964. Dodge Elementary serves students in Head Start/Early Childhood through grade five. Programs in Alternate Curriculum, Special Education, Gifted and Talented, Guidance and English as a Second Language are offered. The Mission at Dodge Elementary is to provide a safe learning environment that is built on a foundation of academic excellence; respect toward others and self, positive and effective communication between staff and parents/guardians. It is the goal of Dodge Elementary to provide the best possible learning environment for each student so that every child has the opportunity to develop his or her potential to the fullest. An active parent-teacher association and several Adopt-A-School business partners support the school's educational efforts by helping to provide social and material resources.
