DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Hartman Elementary School is located at 5530 North 66 St. in Omaha. The diverse student population is served in prekindergarten through sixth grade. Hartman's focus is on preparing all students for success. Teachers use a variety of strategies so all students can reach their highest potential. Several programs are in place to support students in their regular classroom education. These programs include English as a Second Language, Speech and Language, Gifted and Talented, and Resource. Hartman takes pride in involving the community in the education of our students. Several volunteers from the community regularly work with students, a before and after school Community Learning Center allows students to engage in academics and enrichment activities, an active P.T.A. is committed to providing opportunities for students, and a Parent Information Resource Center is available for families to use any time the school is open. Working together, Hartman Hawks are soaring towards success.
