DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Sarah H. Joslyn Elementary School is located at 11220 Blondo Street. Joslyn Elementary School opened on January 26, 1976. The student body consists of children in pre-kindergarten through the sixth grade. Current enrollment is approximately 440 students. Along with the regular instructional curriculum, Gifted and Talented, English Language Learners program and Early Childhood Special Education classes are also available. A grand library media center is located near the center of the building that also houses technology resources for the students. Joslyn's mission is to challenge each student to reach his/her fullest potential in a safe, productive learning environment while being respectful, doing their best and helping others. Open communication between the home and school plays a strong role in accomplishing this mission. Joslyn School also boasts an active and supportive PTO that provides additional financial resources for the Joslyn students.
