DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Lothrop Science and Technology Magnet School is a newly renovated building located at 3300 North 22nd Street in Omaha, Nebraska. Lothrop serves students in grades pre-kindergarten through fourth grade attend this science and technology magnet school. These magnet themes are woven throughout the regular curriculum. Students conduct science inquiry investigations in a greenhouse classroom and primary physics laboratory. Third and fourth grade students use laptops to complete Extra Value Standards and core curriculum assignments. Students take part in magnet enrichment camps and after school tutoring sessions. The staff, parents and community are committed to providing a content rich education that prepares students for future learning.
