DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Ponca Elementary School is located at 11300 North Post Road. The beautiful rolling hills of northern Omaha have welcomed students to the world of learning since 1871 when the first school bell rang. The current Ponca Elementary School building has been in operation since 1964, but had substantial renovations over the past summer. Ponca serves approximately 150 students, kindergarten through sixth grade. Students, staff, and parents work together to maintain a long tradition of high standards for academic achievement and behavior. Ponca Elementary School has all the great qualities of a small community – investment in education with a friendly know-your-neighbor atmosphere, as well as all the advantages of services provided by a large district through the Omaha Public Schools. Visitors are always welcome. Come and visit to see first hand what makes Ponca Elementary School a great place for teaching and learning.
