DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Ponca Elementary School is located at 11300 North Post Road, situated in the beautiful rolling hills of northern Omaha. Our current building has been in operation since 1964 but was recently renovated in the 2014 OPS Bond Project. Each day we welcome 140 smiling students from kindergarten through fifth grade. The school and surrounding neighbors blend to make a very strong community that work together to maintain a long tradition of high standards for academic achievement and behavior. Ponca Elementary School has all the great qualities of a small community – investment in education with a friendly know-your-neighbor atmosphere, as well as all the advantages of services provided by a large district through the Omaha Public Schools.
