DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
The Saddlebrook Joint Facility is located at 14850 Laurel Ave. in Omaha. It opened in the fall of 2009 and serves students in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade. This facility has been a collaborative effort of three community organizations: the Omaha Public School District, the City of Omaha Recreation Department and the Omaha Public Library. Its unique arrangement of elementary school, recreation center and public library under a single roof is unlike any school in the State of Nebraska and one of only a few in the country. This facility was designed to benefit students, families and the community. This building supports life-long learning and wellness for life while serving the entire community. Two gyms, two computer labs, an indoor running track, a “green” roof, and 25 state of the art classrooms occupy this building.
