Sherman Elementary, at 5618 N. 14 Av. Sherman is proud to be a school where children from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds find success. Staff strive to meet the social and educational needs of every child, every day. Sherman boasts class sizes of approximately 18 students in primary grades and 22 students in the intermediate grades. Sherman is home to students in Pre-K through Fifth grade with about 240 total students. Our vision is to have high performing teachers and students in every classroom, and to be the cornerstone of the Sherman neighborhood where everyone will learn, grow and succeed. We provide engaging, rigorous instruction aligned with state standards and high expectations. An active Adopt-a-School program boasts partners such as the Lozier Corporation, P4K, and the American Assn. of University Women. Sherman also offers a Community Learning Center after school program that engages students throughout the school year and during the summer months.
