DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Western Hills University Partnership Magnet Center is in our new fabulous learning environment! We moved into our new building in January 2018 closing the 2017-18 school year at 6523 Western Avenue. We currently serve students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Our goal is to develop self-disciplined, well-educated students who possess a love of lifelong learning. A university focus leads staff to provide research-based, innovative practices in instruction. Partnerships with the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Fontenelle Forest provide students with a variety of rich experiences utilizing interdisciplinary and expeditionary learning. An expanded curriculum and AVID strategies in our focus areas-Academic Enrichment, Expeditions, and Electives –provide opportunities for students to use their critical thinking skills and creative talents, while receiving a solid foundation in reading, mathematics, science, social studies and language arts skills.
