DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Western Hills University Partnership Magnet Center just completed the 2018-19 school year in our new fabulous learning environment! We moved into our new building in January 2018 at 6523 Western Avenue. We currently serve students in Pre-K through sixth grade. Our goal is to develop self-disciplined, well-educated students who possess a love of lifelong learning. A university focus leads staff to provide research-based, innovative practices in instruction. Partnerships with the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Fontenelle Forest provide students with a variety of rich experiences utilizing interdisciplinary and expeditionary learning. An expanded curriculum and college and career preparatory strategies in our focus areas-Academic Enrichment, Expeditions, and Electives –provide opportunities for students to use their critical thinking skills and creative talents, while receiving a solid foundation in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and social/emotional skills.
