DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Western Hills Magnet Elementary School currently serves Pre-K through 6th grade. Our goal is to develop self-disciplined, well-educated students who have a love of lifelong learning. Western Hills Magnet staff focus on research-based, innovative practices and instruction. An expanded curriculum and college and career preparatory strategies in our focus areas-Academic Enrichment, Expedition, and Electives-provide opportunities for students to use their critical thinking skills and creative talents, while receiving a solid foundation in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and social/emotional skills.
