DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Five Omaha schools merged in a 1988 consolidation plan to create Bancroft Elementary School located at 2724 Riverview Boulevard. The school serves students from preschool through sixth grade. Small class size provides students with optimal educational opportunities. A full-day Kindergarten at the Zoo is one of the projects supported by Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo. The Botanical Gardens also provide enrichment opportunities that support the school. Resource classes for ESL, Special Education, and Gifted/Talented support the needs of identified students. The latest technology available, including a mobile laptop classroom lab and Smartboards enhance the learning opportunities for every child. Working closely with parents and the community, Bancroft Elementary provides a positive educational atmosphere that encourages students to achieve and become responsible citizens.
