DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Skinner Magnet Center located at 4304 North 33rd Street opened in the fall of 1996. Providing students with multiple experiences aimed at high achievement, this Magnet Center focuses on engineering, mathematics, and the visual and performing arts. This specialized curriculum is offered to students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Interdisciplinary links, engineering, mathematical concepts, artistic residencies, arts organization partnerships, and community involvement enhance learning experiences for all students. Instructional technology is used to reinforce integrated learning across the curriculum.
