DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


The Transition Program at the Career Center is located at 3230 Burt Street. This is a special education program for students between the ages of 18 and 21. These students have already completed their high school education program. This specialized program provides vocational training and serves as a transitional phase before the students enter a community-based program. Students attend this program on either a part or full time basis. Along with job training, students learn social and work-related skills that will assist them as they enter the work world. Students leave this vocational transition program when their transition needs are met or at the age of 21.
