DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

The Secondary Success Program (SSP) serves as the middle school alternative program for the Omaha Public Schools. SSP is a program for students who are experiencing significant challenges that impede their learning in the traditional school setting. The program offers instruction in core academic curriculum along with a social and life skills curriculum, academic support, and service learning opportunities. The staff at SSP works with students to reengage in schooling and learn social, life, and academic skills. Students are evaluated regularly to determine readiness to reengage in a traditional school setting or continue with the alternative education programming.
