DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

The Early Childhood Center at Yates Community Partnership is located at 3260 Davenport Street and serves children from ages 3 to 5. The Omaha Public Schools believes in an inclusive approach to learning where all children are expected to reach their highest potential by actively engaging in authentic learning experiences. Through effective teaching, as well as the involvement of the community and families, young children are instilled with the fundamentals of learning, respect and compassion. Early childhood programs at Yates will actively support families in the education of their children at home and school and will also work to boost children's emerging sense of self in a risk-free environment that promotes the development of confidence which will foster a healthy social development for all our children. Other goals include supporting emergent literacy as well as early math concepts development.
