(Elkhorn Public Schools, 6—8) Elkhorn Ridge opened in 2003 as the District’s second middle school. Elkhorn Ridge is committed to providing a program centered on the needs of young adolescents which stresses academic achievement, responsibility, reliability and cooperation through teamwork while recognizing the unique needs of each student. In addition to a solid core curriculum, students are able to explore their interests through various courses in art, music, technology, speech, drama, health and physical education. The mission of Elkhorn Ridge Middle School is to provide a safe learning environment that nurtures, challenges and encourages each student to reach his or her full learning potential. Elkhorn Ridge Middle School enrolled around 452 students in 2015-16.
