DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Millard South promotes academic excellence through an array of honors courses, AP courses, broad elective courses, a four-year guidance curriculum, and an A/B block schedule. Our Early College program allows students to earn an associate's degree while in high school, the only one in the state of Nebraska. We also offer Air Force JROTC, Avenue Scholars, and College Possible. Systemic academic and behavior interventions are in place to provide support for all students. Our goal is to improve student achievement and engagement for every student each year, along with narrowing achievement gaps. Service learning opportunities are strong among our student groups, and multiple activities and athletics are available for student enrichment. Teachers participate in Professional Learning Communities for the success of all students. Stakeholders contribute to the school improvement process with a focus to increase student achievement.
