The mission of Bess Streeter Aldrich Elementary is to guarantee academic excellence through the development of principled young people who become active, inquiring and compassionate life-long learners and global citizens by providing innovative opportunities and challenging programs of intercultural understanding through guided inquiry. In response to a student population that achieves above national averages, we are committed to providing quality education that is responsive to the needs and expectations of our students and parents. By embracing the gifts and talents of each individual, our students will acquire and exhibit positive attitudes enabling them to become model citizens in our diverse world. In 2000, Bess Streeter Aldrich was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education. In 2008, Bess Streeter Aldrich became an authorized International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme School.
