The mission of Black Elk Elementary is to guarantee that all students achieve academic excellence and become principled, internationally minded citizens as a result of challenging, innovative, and diverse educational experiences through a strong collaborative relationship with students, staff, parents and community. Together, we provide a balanced education dedicated to developing active, compassionate, lifelong learners through the framework of guided inquiry. Black Elk continues to be a learning community based on strong parent support and a dedicated, caring staff. In support of our mission, Black Elk is an International Baccalaureate-Primary Years Programme Candidate School and offers unique programs such as WATCH D.O.G.S, Spanish Club and Walking Club. We analyze student data and collaborate as a staff to provide enrichment and reteaching opportunities so that each child can get instruction at their level.
