DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Wilma Upchurch Elementary School is the newest in the Millard Public Schools, opening our doors in August 2008. The mission of Wilma Upchurch Elementary School, in partnership with family and community members, is to guarantee a positive and caring learning environment where every student will achieve world class personal and academic excellence characterized by innovative, challenging, and diverse learning experiences designed to actively engage all students. In support of this mission, our staff has established extracurricular clubs such as Walking Club, Chess Club, Running Club, Golden Sower Club, and Academic Clubs. Family Movie Nights, One School One Book Nights, Watch D.O.G.S., and Spooktacular Dinner Night encourage family involvement and help to build our strong school community.
