DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Construction on Mockingbird Elementary School began in April of 1964 and the school opened in September 1965 with 192 students. It was the third new elementary school in the Ralston School District. The teachers and staff at Mockingbird are dedicated to providing students with an outstanding education. There are currently 20 regular classroom teachers (including 2 preschool teachers), two resource teachers, one full time ELL teacher, a reading support teacher, an instructional coach, and seven teaching assistants who serve the students. The physical education teacher, music teachers, academic resource teacher, school psychologist, and library media specialists provide extended educational opportunities to students.
