DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Bennington Junior-Senior High School serves students in grades 7-12. The school is organized as a two-year junior high school with a current enrollment of 289 7th and 8th graders and a four-year senior high school with 465 9th through 12th graders. The enrollment continues to increase due to the number of new housing developments within the school district. Bennington offers a comprehensive and college preparatory curriculum with opportunities for advanced coursework through Advanced Placement courses, distance learning and cooperative agreements with area colleges. Bennington Junior-Senior High School offers a large variety of extra-curricular opportunities in leadership, academics, music, and athletics. The Junior-Senior High School was expanded in the Fall of 2009 and 2012. Bennington sponsors fifteen sports teams and numerous academic and social clubs. The school provides opportunities for challenging coursework and promotes student involvement in extra-curricular activities.
