DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Bennington Middle School opened its doors to serve students in grades 6-8 in the fall of 2017. The school is organized as a three-year middle school with 630 6th through 8th graders. Bennington Middle School offers a comprehensive core curriculum including Reading, English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, as well as a rich exploratory curriculum including PE, Music, Art, Speech/Drama, World Language, Computers, Health, and Technology & Living. The typical day includes many opportunities for students to grow beyond academics and receive support through guided study, student support time, and homeroom. Bennington Middle School offers a large variety of extra-curricular opportunities in leadership, academics, athletics, and interest-area clubs. Bennington sponsors teams in six sports for 7th and 8th graders. The school provides opportunities for challenging coursework and promotes student involvement in extra-curricular activities.
