Exeter-Milligan Public School is a class III district located 50 miles west of Lincoln. Our towns have thriving agricultural communities, joint populations of 1050. A recent study noted that our school “... has made a significant commitment to the education of its youth.” The mission statement reflects strong local ties: “ Exeter-Milligan Public Schools, in cooperation with family and community, will provide a flexible and varied educational program committed to excellence. Students will be empowered to become productive and contributing members of a global community.” In May of 2002, Exeter Schools officially consolidated with Milligan Schools to form Exeter-Milligan Public Schools; which is Fillmore County School District #01.
