DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Beatrice Middle School continuously strives to meet academic, social, and emotional needs of all students. The Middle School is located at 215 N. 5th ST. The enrollment ranges from 460-500. Beatrice Middle School follows the Marzano Instructional Model and also the Boys Town Social Skills Model. Students and teachers are grouped in the core areas of Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. All students participate in exploratory classes which consist of Art, Music, Family Consumer Science, Computers, Health/Physical Education, and Reading. MAP testing, in all curriculum areas, provides information for students, parents, and teachers on the progress of students in achieving the NE standards. Beatrice Middle School has implemented interventions designed to help students be successful in all curricular areas. One intervention is 9th period. Students can sign up for a 9th period enrichment activity or participate in an intervention activity for extra support.
