DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Cedar Elementary School, home to the Cedar Stars, opened in 1956, and prides itself on providing a creative, personalized, aligned curriculum through the use of high quality instruction and extended learning opportunities. Cedar has approximately 130 students enrolled in Kindergarten through fifth grade with eight certified teachers and two full time paras striving to meet the emotional and learning needs of all students. Lincoln is a school-wide Title I building, providing support in the area of reading. Cedar has traveling specialists for Physical Education, Music, guidance, library, and fifth grade band. Essential Learning assessments and the NWEA MAP assessments provide information for students, parents, and teachers on the progress of students in achieving state and local standards. All Cedar students and adults take pride in their growth and learning each day.
