The mission of Stoddard, a school consisting of students, staff, families and community members that celebrates our cultural diversity is to guarantee that all families feel welcome and accepted in the school environment and all students will achieve academic excellence and develop responsible citizenship by setting the foundation through incorporating a feeling of self-worth with character education and providing aligned rigorous curriculum using high-quality instruction that utilizes 21st century tools in an elementary school that is measured among the best in the nation. Emphasis on reading, math, language arts, science, social studies, and stem is found at all levels. Flexible grouping is used to meet the needs of all students. Stoddard is the ELL center. Our population includes students from Hispanic, Japanese, Chinese, and Indian backgrounds. Before and after school programs are offered for all students. A strong parent partnership is supported by use of a communication notebook.
