DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Jefferson Elementary School enrolls 315 students in grades K through 5. The diverse student body is served by 25 certified teachers who work together in Professional Learning Communities to use data to inform instruction and plan standards-based tasks. The goal of the Jefferson staff is to develop students who are respectful, responsible, and confident learners. Jefferson also prioritizes family engagement and student learning opportunities outside of the normal school day. At Grand Island Public Schools, we empower educators to be instructional leaders, personalize learning pathways for each student, design decisions using data, and partner with our community. Our students are prepared to make positive contributions to society and thrive in an ever-changing world.
