Located in central Grand Island, Wasmer Elementary serves 340 K-5 students of diverse backgrounds. Through cooperative learning, our students learn from and about each other. Our 28 certified staff members ensure that our students not only learn the academic content specified by the Nebraska standards, but also learn the social emotional skills that equip them to be good citizens. At Grand Island Public Schools, we empower educators to be instructional leaders, personalize learning pathways for each student, design decisions using data, and partner with our community. Our students are prepared to make positive contributions to society and thrive in an ever-changing world.
