E. F. Starr Elementary School enrolls 525 students in grades K through 5. The diverse student body is served by 33 certified teachers. Starr Elementary School was selected by Learning Sciences International to become a Demonstration School for Rigor (DSR). As a DSR, Starr has created a vision of instruction focused on student ownership and academic rigor. At GIPS we empower educators to be instructional leaders, personalize learning pathways for each student, design decisions using data, and partner with our community. Our students are prepared to make positive contributions to society and thrive in an ever-changing world.
