E. F. Starr Elementary School enrolls 410 students in grades Pre-K through 5. The diverse student body is served by 32 certified teachers. Starr Elementary School was selected by Learning Sciences International to become a Demonstration School for Rigor. As a DSR, Starr’s vision is that every student takes ownership of their learning while collaborating in groups engaged in real-world problem solving. At Grand Island Public Schools, we empower educators to be instructional leaders, personalize learning pathways for each student, design decisions using data, and partner with our community. Our students are prepared to make positive contributions to society and thrive in an ever-changing world.
