DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Shoemaker Elementary School is located at 4160 West Old Potash Highway. In 1964, the original building consisted of an office and four classrooms. A steel building was added in 1970 and consisted of four more classrooms. Another building was dedicated in 1978. In 2009, a new addition with approximately 20,000 square feet was added to the current building creating 12 new classrooms along with specialist rooms. Over the last 5 years, Shoemaker student enrollment continues to grow at a rapid rate. Our school currently consists of three sections at every grade level from K-5. Our approximate student enrollment is 370 students. Due to our continued growth, a new addition and expansion of our school building began in 2015 and will be complete for the 2016-17 school year. Shoemaker Elementary will have the ability to have four sections from K-5 in the future.
