DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
The Early Learning Center (ELC) serves children ages 3 to 4 in a preschool setting. ELC has thirteen preschool classrooms which each hold a morning and afternoon session with up to 15 children in attendance at each. ELC serves approximately 360 students. ELC provides excellent opportunities for young learners; 80% of all GIPS 4-year-old preschoolers were at or above age-level expectations according to the end-of-year state preschool assessment. At GIPS we empower educators to be instructional leaders, personalize learning pathways for each student, design decisions using data, and partner with our community. Our students are prepared to make positive contributions to society and thrive in an ever-changing world.
