DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


St. Libory School is a K-8 grade school that is part of Northwest Public School as a result of the passage of LB126. The school is located approximately 12 miles north of Grand Island on Highway 281. St. Libory's enrollment has grown over the past few years serving approximately 165 students. The staff consists of 19 certified staff with two who are shared with 1-R school and three trimester teachers who teach exploratory classes in all three K-8 buildings. We have two full-time special ed instructors, one full-time secretary, one shared counselor, one shared nurse, and six para-educators who work in the building. We have a very stable school population with low mobility, the St. Libory community is stable and growing. Northwest Public Schools is committed to creating a culture of excellence by focusing on growth for all students academically, socially, and behaviorally.
