The Hampton Public School District #091 is a class III school located in eastern Hamilton County. The 2016-17 enrollment for Hampton Public School is 169 (PreK-12). The Hampton Elementary School (grades PreK-6) enrollment includes 62 students in grades kindergarten through sixth and 22 preschool aged students. Hampton has experienced consistency with staff and administration. The PreK-12 teaching staff averages 17 years of experience in education and the administrative staff averages 21 years of experience in education. In May of 2016, the Hampton Public School patrons approved a 7.25 million dollar bond to renovate the 1958 elementary building and cafeteria. The bond also includes new construction of a kindergarten classroom, a special education classroom, music classroom, bathroom facilities, new locker rooms (that will double as emergency storm shelters) and a competition gymnasium. The completion date for the building project is slated for December 2017.
