DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


O'Neill Elementary serves approximately 400 students in grades K-6. Students are provided with the latest materials aligned to state standards for each curricular area. The school utilizes Response to Intervention (RTI) techniques to identify and facilitate strategic intervention for students. A dual core reading program consisting of Reading Mastery and Treasures is used. Students have access to up to date technology including, MacBooks, SMARTboards, ipads, ipods, and video equipment. Other programs available to the students include: HAL, ELL, Special Education, Title 1 and robotics. The Developing Eagles program is available to all students from 3:20-6:00 p.m. during the school year and from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. during the summer. New programs being implemented for the 2015-16 school year include a PBIS model of behavioral expectations which will continue to build a positive and structured atmosphere. O'Neill Elementary will also offer two sections of preschool in 2015-16.
