Atkinson Elementary is located in Atkinson, Nebraska in North Central Nebraska. Atkinson Elementary is the main elementary attendance center for West Holt Public Schools, District 239. The enrollment at Atkinson Elementary School has continued to increase over the last several years. Our elementary school serves students in grades PK-6. We utilize the Treasures reading and Saxon math programs. Our elementary students also have the opportunity to participate in P.E., music, art, library, technology, and guidance classes. Class size is typically between 25 and 40 students with 2 sections of each class. Students per classroom is between 15 and 20. We are school wide Title I and we serve Special Education students as needed. The District also provides a morning and afternoon preschool through the Little Paw's Preschool, located within the K-12 building.
