DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


St.Paul Junior High consists of approximately 118 students 7-8. The school provides a strong core curricula in math, reading, English, science, and social studies. Students with advanced math skills are eligible to take high school Algebra I during 8th grade. In addition, the school offers rotation classes for students to experience elective courses offered 9-12. Those rotation classes include: Spanish, Art, FCS, Agriculture, Industrial Technology, Life Skills (includes personal finance), and Second Step, a relationship building course. To further develop relational skills, all 7th grade students participate in a Courage Retreat led by Youth Frontiers, and all 8th grade students participate in the UNL Challenge Course. In addition, students also have Connect Time, Homeroom (3b), and TEAMMATES. The district also encourages students to participate in extra-curricular activities such as: sports, music, and academic clubs.
