The Tri County School District was formed when the towns of DeWitt, Plymouth, Swanton and rural districts consolidated to form a district of 232 square miles in Jefferson, Gage, and Saline Counties. The district enrollment is 378 (PreK-12) students. The staff includes 3 administrative positions, 38 teachers, 36 classified staff members, 1 Community Counselor, and part-time nursing staff. Tri County Schools has a long tradition of rich academic and activity programs that span from the formation of the district until the present day. The operating budget for the district is $6,485,362 with assessed valuation of $897,716,410.
