DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Sterling is a PreK-12th grade rural school of 213 students. All grade levels are in one facility. Our high school is a 7-12 experience. We have a long history of success in academics as well as activities. Our school system currently employs 24.5 full-time staff members. Several of those staff members have duties at the elementary and middle/high school level. During the 2018-2019 school year we started a 1-to-1 initiative and all 7th-12th grade students have a MacBook that is used at school and at home. Our small size enables students to receive enhanced individual instruction. Students are the focus for our entire staff! Our continuous improvement goals at the 7th-12th grade levels are: All students 7th-12th will improve their writing skills. All students 7th-12th will use technology on a daily basis for extended learning opportunities.
